// How to play
The story talks to you, and you talk back. By voice, say yes or no, scream when it asks you to, sing the tone you just heard, and in the maze say continue, left or right. With keys: Y and N to answer, hold Space to scream, hold 1, 2 or 3 for a low, middle or high tone, and the arrow keys to walk. On a phone, use the buttons under the story.
The last part is a maze you can't see. Turn the sound up, ideally with headphones: music plays from the way out, and you walk towards it.
// Global Game Jam 2020
Made by Cathaysa López and Joaquim Virgili for the Global Game Jam (31 January–2 February 2020), whose theme was Repair: repairing yourself after a break-up, through the five stages of grief. It took on three of the jam's diversifiers: De-squintify (text big enough to read from across the room), Assist Mode (the game reads itself aloud and listens, with the Web Speech API) and Remembering Kenji Eno, whose Real Sound was a game with no pictures at all. That is why the maze is heard, not seen.
It runs here from the jam's original scripts, in English or Spanish. The additions are the start screen (browsers keep a page silent until you press something), keys and touch buttons for every voice action, looser listening (yeah, go, adelante), and fixes so it no longer stops in Firefox or when the speech engine goes quiet.
